The Jack Sparrow inspired pirate– Everyone loves pirates, so why not dress up like one? The Pirate accessories are fairly cheap, and very easy to find thanks to “Pirates of the Caribbean.” Check out The Helping Hand Costume Shop on Pine Street or Wal-Mart for all you pirate needs. Even the Dollar Store has pirate costume accessories.
COST: $10 to $45, depending on how far you want to go

Pimp – You can pick up a pimp-ish coat at a thrift shop or buy an actual costume at Wal-Mart or the costume shop with a coat and hat. If you can get a cane and a little bit of fake bling the costume would be complete.
COST: $5 - $25

Nurse/Doctor – This is an easy costume that you can pick up items for at the thrift shop. Goodwill has scrubs for pretty cheap. Accessories can be found at the Helping hand costume shop or Wal-Mart.
COST: $5 - $15

Hippie – Put on a pair of beat up or flare jeans and a tye-dye shirt. Then all you need is a peace medallion and a flower in your hair.
COST: Free - $5

Mummy – Say you need a costume right now. This would be the easiest. Grab a couple of rolls of toilet paper and wrap them all around you. If you want to go all out on the cheap mummy, go over to Wal-Mart, get some cheap white fabric (it will be $1 for a yard.) Then, tear the fabric into little strips and tie them all over yourself, use safety pins (or use duct tape if need be.) You probably won’t need more than 5 yards at the very, very most.
COST: $5 to $10

Zombie – All you need is your everyday clothes and a little bit of make-up to make you look dead. You can pick up make-up that is especially for Halloween at the costume shop or Wal-Mart, or you can go to the cosmetics section and pick up the lightest color of makeup they have.
COST: $5

Superhero – This is an easy costume to make. You can be any superhero that you want. All you need is a cape, which can be as easy as buying a yard to a yard and a half of fabric from Wal-Mart. If you feel so inclined, you can even buy a bottle of fabric puff paint and you can draw a symbol on it.
COST: Less than $5 for the fabric and paint OR $5 – $20 depending on what kind of other accessories you need.

Ghost/Ghoul – If you have some old clothes you can be a ghost (no matter what color they are.) If, however, you don’t want to sacrifice any of your clothing, you can always go to a thrift shop and pick up some old clothing. Then pick up a can of white spray paint. Spray the clothing white and you have your outfit. Add a little bit of white make-up and/or white hair spray paint and you are a full fledged ghost.
COST: $5 - $15 (depending on the make-up costs)

Cardinals Player – Thanks to the playoffs, Cardinals shirts are not hard to find (if you don’t already have one.) Put that on with some white stretch pants, and you have your cardinals player.
COST: $5 - $15 (unless you want one of the jersey shirts which will cost significantly more)

Prostitute/Hooker – This isn’t very hard to imagine. Get a really short skirt and a shirt that shows your midriff (if you don’t already have anything like that.) Add some hooker boots or stiletto heals. For the finishing touch, add a little bit of gel in your hair and make it a bit messy.
COST: Free - $10

Vampire – You can wear your everyday clothes for this one. All you need is some fake vampire teeth and some red lipstick or make-up to make it look like blood is dripping from your mouth. Add a little bit of very pale make up and you have an easy vampire. If you want, you can even get or make a cape.
COST: $5 - $15

Witch – When trying to think of a last minute costume, a witch always comes to mind. You can wear practically anything and put on a witch hat and carry a broom, then bam, you are a witch.
COST: $5 for just the witch hat OR $20-40 for a full costume

Schoolgirl – Put your hair in pigtails, and all you need is a plaid skirt. If you don’t have one, try a thrift shop.
COST: Free - $5
