Blood Drive

    Student Council and Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will be hosting a blood drive May 1 - 2 in the Havener Center. Please come out and donate. Let’s make this another record breaking blood drive for Missouri S&T. The goal is an easy 400 units. Those who donate will get a super-cool t-shirt. Evaluation of a Web Tutorial

    The mining engineering department is looking for students to participate in an online tutorial evaluation exercise, which is scheduled for May 2 at 2 PM. This exercise will take a total of four hours and each participant will be paid $10.00 an hour for participating. Havener Center Positions Available

    The Havener Center has job openings for friendly, motivated, customer service oriented students with strong communication skills and a desire to make the Havener Center a better place. There are currently openings for both the summer session and fall semester. Positions include information desk attendants, receptionists, operations assistants, and building managers.  More information about each position will be available at the Havener Center website at student life.mst.edu/havener/index.html.  The deadline for applications is May 2 at 4:30 PM.

Salsa Night

Embarq Missouri S&T Scholars Scholarship

    The Embarq Missouri S&T Scholars scholarship is for currently enrolled students, graduating high school seniors, spouse of military, at Missouri S&T and living in the Embarq service area and majoring in education, engineering, science/environment, business/economics, marketing, math/computer technology.  Applications and further information may be obtained at the Student Financial Assistance office, G-1 Parker Hall or by calling 573-341-4282 or 800-522-0938 ext.2.  Application deadline is May 1.

MAS Golf Tournament

The Healing Room

    The Bible says that prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make them well (James 5:15).  On May 8 ten Christians who believe in this promise will be available in the Havener Center from 7 PM – 9PM to pray with people.  Anyone in need of physical or emotional healing of any sort is welcome to come by.  All requests will be completely confidential and there are no obligations for anyone who comes by.  For more information contact David Pollack at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it

Commencement Ceremonies

    Due to the projected increase in the size of the master’s and PhD graduating class, the commencement ceremonies for this group of graduates will be held May 16 at 6 PM in the Gale Bullman Multipurpose Building. Leadership Development Course

    Set yourself apart from your peers when you interview with industry representatives.  Army ROTC offers a leadership development course to sophomore and junior students who are interested in further refining their leadership potential.  The course is four weeks at Ft.
