TJ Hall renovations to be completed by 2011 Print E-mail
Written by Adam Farquhar
With the number of buildings present on campus and the volume of traffic flowing through said buildings, it is expected that buildings wear down and periodically need maintenance.
Two of the most recent construction and renovation projects on campus are those at the Residential College and TJ Hall. With this being the first academic year that Residential College Two is open, portions of the building remain unfinished, specifically the ground floor. But as the physical facilities department continues working, the final flooring and mechanical systems are being installed, putting the expected date of completion at the end of March.
TJ Hall’s renovation is far more extensive and time consuming, yet, the project is in its final stages.  The final touches are being given to the flooring, painting, ceilings, and mechanical systems. This places the contractor’s anticipated date of completion between 2010 and 2011.
Per Ted Ruth, the appropriate sections of the physical facilities department will concentrate on these two projects.  No more are scheduled to begin before semester’s end.
