A common concern of every student is security. This concern became a reality for students in Triangle fraternity over winter break when it was burglarized twice. The Triangle Fraternity was one of a few fraternities broken into over winter break.
The first break-in was discovered and reported on the day after Christmas, and a second was reported on January 5th. In both instances, it is estimated that the burglaries took place a day or two before their discovery and report.
Among the items taken from the house were a safe and its contents. Regarding damage to the house itself, no significant damage beyond that directly related to breaking in was found. The Triangle fraternity President, Neil Brown, declined to elaborate on what measures would be taken to increase security at the house, but did state there was some concern over possible future burglaries.
At present, investigators speculate it is likely the thefts are related, though no specifics on the progress of the case were released.
